Before I mastered calorie counting, I spent years trying to losing weight. First on WW, then on every diet plan you can think of.
I took so many 'before' photos that I practically had a slideshow of me getting bigger, because even though I was trying everything, I never got the 'after'.
I used to cry in the mirror before family occasions because none of my clothes fitted me and I absolutely dreaded holidays.
Seeing myself in photos the way everyone else saw me destroyed my confidence so much I wanted to go into hiding.
It wasn’t that I didn’t want to lose weight badly enough, I really, really did. But with all the will in the world, nothing was working. I was so miserable and hungry.
Eventually, I decided I'd had enough and went on a mission to learn all about nutrition and exercise so I could get the result I so desperately wanted (I qualified as a nutritionist and PT a few years later!).
After a lot of trial & error along my own journey, things finally clicked.
It was like I’d slowly been doing a puzzle (albeit blindfolded whilst being slapped in the face, with half the pieces missing) and then eventually, it just all came together - calorie counting and losing weight whilst being happy and healthy!
and now I want to help you finish the puzzle too (just a lot quicker, definitely with the big light on, and with all the pieces present and correct).
I struggled for years dieting on my own because I couldn't find anyone to help me who understood me or my journey. That's why I started coaching.
I knew there had to be other women just like me who needed help from someone who truly understands what it's like to feel all of the things, and to have tried so many times with little success.
When I qualified as a nutrition coach and PT, I never wanted to be labelled as a personal trainer, not because it's a negative thing, but because the woman I want to help isn't at the gym. It can be a scary place when you have very little body confidence.
Instead, I became a weight loss coach specialising in helping women to feel safe dieting without restriction, moving their body in ways they're comfortable with and eating the foods that make them happy, without a single ounce of guilt.
